BLASTOFF! NASA TV: The launch of Space Shuttle Columbia and the initial activation of the Chandra X-ray Observatory will be Broadcast live on NASA TV. Up-to-the-minute commentary, television and briefings will originate from the Operations Control Center in Cambridge, MA, 24 hours a day.

If you have a satellite dish, NASA TV (NTV) is available on GE-2, transponder 9C at 85 degrees West longitude with vertical polarization. The frequency is 3880 megahertz (Mhz), and audio is 6.8 Mhz. Many cable television companies throughout the United States provide a channel for coverage during missions. If you are unable to find NTV on your cable television system, you may want to contact your service provider. You may also view NASA TV on the web with the free viewer Real Player or MicroSoft's Media Player.
