Multi-Wavelength Comparison of 3C273
This three-panel image shows the jet blasting out of the core of quasar 3c273. The scale on all three images is the same (about 10 arcseconds from one of the jet to the another.) This comparative display demonstrates the different intensities discovered in various regimes of the electromagnetic spectrum in this jet. From left to right, the images are optical (HST), X-ray (Chandra), and radio (MERLIN).
