| During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as
planned.
A real-time procedure was executed on 13 Oct to perform a routine Electrical Interface Assembly (EIA) Sequencer self-check. A Chandra press release was issued on 13 Oct describing observations of a new generation of stars spawned by a super-massive black hole at the center of the Milky Way galaxy. This novel mode of star formation may solve several mysteries about these super-massive black holes that reside at the centers of nearly all galaxies.
