Operations CXO Status Report

Monday 16 August 1999 7.00am EST

The following is an overview of the events that occurred over the last 24 hours.

Offline System (OFLS) scheduling of mission loads in progress - Chandra maneuvers and observations are now being controlled from onboard Real Time Sequences (RTS) derived in the OFLS instead of real time ground commands.

Problems initially experienced acquiring FID lights and stars have been corrected and the OFLS derived timeline was intercepted at 8:00EDT Sunday morning and ran until midnight Sunday night.

A new 36-hour mission schedule was uploaded and began controlling Chandra operations at 01:00EDT Monday morning. Activities in this load included crude optical axis determination procedures.

Activities for next 24 hours.
  • Continue performing SCS directed on-orbit operations.
