Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 6 February 2015 9.00am EDT

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

Chandra passed through the seventh (and final) eclipse of the season on Feb 1, with nominal power and thermal performance. Real-time procedures were executed on Feb 1 to disable SCS-29 and to dump and clear the EPS glitch counters as post-eclipse season actions.

A real-time procedure was executed on Jan 31 to swap the prime solid-state recorder (SSR) from the B-side to the A-side. This swap concludes a six-month interval of health and trending data collection on SSR-B. A second real-time procedure was executed on Feb 4 to perform a routine self-check of the Electrical Interface Assembly (EIA) Sequencer.

The schedule of targets for the next two weeks is shown below and includes an observation of Swift J123205.1-1056, which was accepted as a Director's Discretionary Time TOO on Jan 14, and an observation of GRB150202A, which was accepted as a Target of Opportunity on Feb 4.
