Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 8 July 2016 9.00am EDT

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

Chandra passed through the second, third, and fourth eclipses of the season on Jul 1, 4, and 6 respectively, with nominal power and thermal performance. Real-time procedures were executed on Jul 2 and 4 to clear a glitch counter that incremented during the eclipse exits on Jul 1 and 4. The counter increment is expected under certain timing and thermal conditions.

An aspect camera dark current calibration was performed from the on-board loads on Jul 6. An assessment of the data is underway.

A real-time procedure was executed on Jul 8 to perform a routine self-check of the Electrical Interface Assembly (EIA) Sequencer.

Of note last week was the Cycle 18 Peer Review held in Boston, Jun 27-Jul 1.

The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes an observation of SgrA* coordinated with Spitzer.
