GOES-12 Time-lapse Movie of Solar Flare
MPEG The groundbreaking first observation of X-rays from Saturn's low-latitudes by Chandra appeared as a direct response to this solar event captured by the GOES Solar X-ray Imager. This solar flare is classified as an M6 - meaning it is medium-sized with the potential to cause brief radio blackouts at Earth's polar regions.
