Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 27 October 2023 9.00am EDT

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

Chandra passed through the 19th, 20th, and 21st eclipses of the season on Oct 21, 24, and 26 respectively, with nominal power and thermal performance.

Of note this week was the release on Oct 26 of the Sherpa 4.16.0 package for Python. This release of Sherpa incorporates bug fixes and new functionalities, including new visualization software. For detailed release notes see: https://github.com/sherpa/sherpa/releases/tag/4.16.0

The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes observations of AT2023fhn, which is a follow-up to a Target of Opportunity accepted on Apr 21, and observations of AT2023uqf, which which was accepted as a Director's Discretionary Time Target of Opportunity on Oct 25.
