Operations CXO Status Report

Wednesday 15 December 1999 5.00pm EST

During the last 48 hours Chandra observed TON-S-180 with ACIS-S/LETG, and LP 944-20 with ACIS-S.

A real-time procedure was completed successfully to test a backup SI safing script. The script safed the gratings, HRC and ACIS, and moved the SIM to the HRC-S in-focus position as expected. The Dec 19 mission load review was held today and approval is expected tomorrow.

During the next 48 hours Chandra will pass through the radiation belts with associated CTI measurements, NGC 253 with ACIS-S, TOO SN (A5) with ACIS-S and start a long observation of Lambda And with ACIS-S and HETG.

The spacecraft systems continued to operate nominally.
